This was to be the team after Valerie Vernon left to take care of her health.  Patricia Ja Lee was hired to take over as Lost Galaxy Pink but when she arrived on set she found out she was going to be a “special guest star”  which means she would be paid less then she was paid during her Turbo and In Space days and less then the Ranger actors on Lost Galaxy were making.  So she declined the offer and Melody Perkins took over.

Just a quick addendum. PJL would have gotten the same exact spot as Melody did in the credits (with Trakeena, Mike and Bulk) because they legally couldn’t remove Valerie Vernon from the credits without firing her. That was a drop in pay for PJL, but not Melody Perkins.

And PJL did film stuff as LG Pink. Like the episode “Forging a Friendship.” Which featured Maya being emo over Kendrix, Trakeena pulling an Astronema and stealing the Megaship, and a final scene that is oddly similar to the end of “Facing the Past.”

Saban used to turn male Yellow Rangers into girls all the time back in the day and the kids never noticed, so why not? Not only it would increase the female-to-male ratio, it would also be slightly more original than making the character into a carbon copy of Gai. Especially given how much people are complaining about Samurai being a carbon copy of Shinkenger…

As long as they still name him/her Fred, I’m good.

I took care of that in a comment. His real name is Waldo, but everybody calls him Dustin, therefore, that is his name.

That doesn’t mean that Waldo isn’t his name, though. That’s like saying that T.J.’s name is not Theodore, Z’s name is not Elizabeth or Doggie’s name is not Anubis.

It’s not wrong.

Jason has two last names. Why can’t Dustin have two first names?
